Few things are as unsettling as change. It means taking on something you most likely have never had to do, or had the willingness to do, previously.

This is an area in which I often fail miserably.
This brings such unwanted side effects as procrastination, boredom and sometimes even anger, if not just out of blind fear.

I’m going to start taking care of myself. Oddly enough, this can only be achieved by striving to be less and less selfish. By using every resource possible to starve this permeating and death-dealing trait. If selfishness is the reason that people are so miserable in this decaying world, than it only stands to reason that giving of yourself will achieve the opposite effect.

I look forward to putting these thoughts I only wish I could claim were mine, into motion.
